Decline Reasons
Sorry, We Can’t Accept This Submission!
Artwork Is Not Original
Quite simply, any design that is submitted to Caponocca must be completely original. That means that we cannot allow artwork that has been previously or concurrently used on any other website similar to ours. There are a billion ideas for unique t-shirt design; let’s try and find one that is completely original for submission here ok?!
Copyright Infringement
Caponocca cannot accept artwork that has been previously been copyrighted. There is a fine line between what is free to use and not, but please be aware that if your artwork contains celebrity likeness, trademarks, or other copyrighted materials, your submission will not be accepted, and/or will be removed from the competition. Funny enough, political figures are immune to this, so you may use politicians in your design. Although we tend to discourage overly harsh caricatures of anyone in general. It always pays to BE NICE!
Design Is Too Large To Print
Currently, our printing standards are for your artwork to be within a 15″ x 20″ (38cm x 50cm) area. In the near future, we will allow designers to print artwork within a much larger area, but for now let’s stick to these dimensions.
Artwork Has Too Many Colors
At this time, we allow a maximum of 3 unique colors in designs submitted to the community. Submissions will be not be accepted if the design contains more than 3 colors. Please remember that each shade of a color counts toward the three color limit as well. Ok, so these are some constraints that may be a bit annoying, but hey you are a good artist right? Less is more:)
Design Needs Revising
Quite simply, if our editorial crew deems this design not fit to rank, then you will be asked to start again and perhaps with a different strategy, or just some minor tweaking. This saves us all a lot of time for not cluttering the site with bad artwork. We want you to succeed! Which is why we are also willing to provide some feedback on ways in which we think you could improve your designs.
